Digital Photography 101

Join me for a day of Digital Photography 101. If you are intimidated by your Digital SLR or would like to have answers and discover techniques for better pictures using your Nikon, Canon, or (insert brand here) camera, this is the place for you. Combining class time and copious amounts of hands on, in the field learning, in historic Jim Thorpe and surrounding area, this workshop is a breath of fresh (springtime) air and a great opportunity to find out how to get the most out of your camera.

Next Date
Date: May 20th 2017
10:00 am -5:00 pm

Location: Inn at Jim Thorpe -Wahnetah Room

6 hours (we take an hour lunch at 12:30)

The first part of the workshop will focus on basics of camera manipulation: adjusting shutter and aperture and discovering how they work together to create a properly exposed image, as well as the art of basic composition and perspective. Many hands on demonstrations will help you become familiar with your camera and prepare you for the day’s outing. Questions are encouraged and will be fielded throughout the day.

*You may bring your lunch or order from the Broadway Pub and Grille to eat with your fellow photographers.  :-) *

After lunch we will take these concepts out into the field. Each student is free to explore their own interests (people photography, architecture, animals, landscapes.) We will work one-on-one with each student during the afternoon as we travel to several spots of interest both photographically as well as historically.  Several fun photographic challenges will be presented to help hone your skills.  :-)

Toward the close of the day we will return to the Opera House to critique and discuss the applied concepts.
